Communication is KEY:

GUSC Directors seek to make communication a priority. If you have an issue you wish to discuss regarding your child please do not hesitate to first contact your coach. Please do not allow issues to build over time and communicate with your coach and if necessary with the Director of Coaching in your age group/gender. Our aim is to improve the development of your child and have fun playing “the beautiful game”.

From Tatum Bourque | Girls Director of Coaching | email: tatum.bourque@gastonunitedsoccer.org

The level of play and competitiveness from our girls has drastically improved. Our girls have improved from being at the very bottom to challenging the top.  All teams have made great progress and continue to be headed in the right direction.  There has been great commitment from both the players and families.  The teams have had major improvements across the board coming from both the technical and tactical aspects of the game.

From David Shearer | Boys Director of Coaching | email: david.shearer@gastonunitedsoccer.org

As we near the end of the season we are encouraging the teams to finish strong. The parent support has been wonderful this season and we appreciate your dedication. Let’s encourage the boys to continue giving 100% effort 100% of the time in training and games. As we near the end of the season and enter the spring a large part of the focus for our boys will be tactical passing.   I am confident through our dedicated coaching staff you will see the improvement of the teams as the year goes on.

From Jeff Phillips | Academy Director | email: jeff.phillips@gastonunitedsoccer.org

The Academy practices and games are going very well this season. I have seen many Academy players improve in their skill level and knowledge of the game. The Academy coaching staff has done an excellent job this season and has been the best staff I have seen in years.

Krista De Jute | Recreation Director | email:
krista.dejute@gastonunitedsoccer.org

The GUSC Recreation Program has been a huge success this season.  The coaches have done a wonderful job instructing our players and parents have continued to be instrumental in keeping the program at this level.  Thank you to all the hard work from players, coaches, and parents!  As our season draws to an end, please continue to support our players.  Also, mark your calendars now for our Fun Day at Martha Rivers on Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. I look forward to seeing everyone there and celebrating our victorious season...
