Gaston United Player of the Month presented by Budget Blinds

Gaston United collected a record amount of nominations this month and would like to congratulate Taylor. Now that we are a couple months into the season and the coaches know their players very well, Gaston United wanted to recognize a player with a great attitude. Coach Kevin sums it up best:

I have a lot of kids on my team that I could nominate but one that stands out in particular is Taylor. She is a great kid who does everything I ask of her, and she does it with a smile.  She is a great athlete with a booming leg and she is a leader on the field.  I asked her to play goalie a few games back and even though she stated that she had never played it before, she took the challenge head on and has picked it up extremely well and with a lot of energy.

Sounds like a coach's dream player!

Taylor has been kicking the ball since she was 4, while she loves soccer, she also has interests in school, tumbling, Minecraft and spending time with her family.

Taylor's previous soccer coach was her mother, so of course it is no surprise we have an excited mom, "I have always been their coach, up until last year, so I feel rewarded seeing what I instilled in them. I am a proud soccer mom!!!"

Taylor is not just a leader to her teammates, she also sets a great example for her younger brother, Myles. Says their mother, "Myles also plays on her team. He has always played up, so they could be together. They play very well together and learn from each other."

Awesome to hear the entire family is having a great experience, "as her mom, it makes me so excited to watch them play. She has developed and learned so much. I am impressed every single game." Great work, Coach Kevin!
